Narrator Audition Terms

By submitting an audition to Audiobook Release, you agree to the following terms:

 

Auditions and selection. Your audition will be shared with the author or rights holder for casting purposes. An audition does not guarantee selection or payment, and we will not publish or sell it as an audiobook.

 

Rates and delivery. 

• For projects requesting completed ACX final files, the rate is $225 per finished hour (PFH) to deliver completed, edited, mastered, ACX-ready audiobook files. You will receive 30% of the project payment after the completed recordings are delivered to the author for review. The remaining 70% will be paid after the author or rights hilder approves the final files.

• For projects requesting punch n' roll files the rate is $165 PFH to deliver complete raw punch-and-roll recordings for Audiobook Release to edit and master. You will receive the full payment within 21 days after completion of the project.

Author review and corrections. The full audiobook recording will be delivered to the author or rights holder for review. They may identify narration errors or recording defects that need correction. You agree to correct errors or defects in your work at no additional charge. Script changes, added material, and new creative direction after recording will be discussed and priced separately before you record them. If no corrections are requested within 14 days of delivery for review, the recording will be considered complete for payment purposes.

Ownership and rights. This is a commissioned, work-for-hire engagement. The full audiobook recordings and all rights in them are intended to belong exclusively to the author or rights holder, not the narrator. You may not publish, distribute, license, or otherwise use the audiobook recordings without the author’s or rights holder’s written permission.
