Summary
A celebrated explorer brazenly murdered. A puzzling invitation to an elusive, private explorers’ club. A fabled treasure lost in the African wilderness.
Stuart Mancini is at the apex of his meticulously orchestrated Wall Street career, days from closing a highly lucrative merger. Then all hell breaks loose.
First, his routine business luncheon is disrupted by a pair of eccentric Englishmen claiming to represent his estranged—and recently murdered—grandfather. Then, his primary merger contact vanishes. The Brits are convinced Stuart is the key to finding the killer and his colleague, as well as protecting his grandfather’s revered discoveries.
Within hours, Stuart abandons his predictable Manhattan existence and plummets into a storm of family mysteries, kidnapping, and murder.
Stuart’s success hinges on his induction into the enigmatic Kilimanjaro Club—a global network of covert adventurers—that launches him into an intercontinental pursuit of his legendary grandfather’s secrets, a missing business partner, and an unpredictable web of adventure, discovery, and introspection.
